The RED RAVEN BRAIN® is constructed of robust, lightweight aluminum and—like WEAPON —provides intelligent mounting points for cable-free peripheral attachment. RED RAVEN’s compact form factor also integrates a Canon EF Mount and media bay, supporting blazing fast RED Mini-Mag SSDs.

NOTE: An expander module or the DSMC2 REDVOLT® XL Module is required to power the BRAIN.

Compatible with most professional-grade editing programs, REDCODE RAW easily adapts to your preferred system. Shooters can further their flexibility with simultaneous capture options in both R3D and Apple ProRes 422, 422 LT, or 422 HQ. Support for Avid recording formats will be made available in mid-2016, bringing yet another powerful and intuitive workflow option to professionals shooting on RED RAVEN.

RED DSMC2 Touch 4.7" LCD

The DSMC2 RED Touch 4.7" LCD offers a high definition—720p interactive viewing experience in the smallest and most compact form factor available for your DSMC2 camera system. The 4.7" LCD features a lay flat hinge design with ± 240° tilt range for space savings or optimizing your configuration. Use the cable-free DSMC2 RED Touch 4.7" LCD as your primary display by mounting it to the top of your BRAIN with 1/4-20 mounting points—or mount it to the secondary (side) EVF/LCD port for a low profile secondary display. The built-in 180° image rotation feature allows for more viewing positions than ever before.

The DSMC2 RED Touch 4.7" LCD is the ideal cable-free display for shooters looking for a small and lightweight camera rig. It is also compatible with EPIC and SCARLET cameras using the DSMC2 LEMO Adaptor B. In addition, used in conjunction with the DSMC2 LEMO Adaptor Collection, you can mount your DSMC2 display away from the camera body.

 RED DSMC2 V-Lock I/O Expander

The DSMC2 V-Lock I/O Expander offers a variety of Input/Output connections, as well as an industry standard V-Lock mount to power your DSMC2 camera using RED BRICK batteries. Constructed from lightweight and durable magnesium, this expander module mounts directly to the rear of the camera BRAIN and offers multiple connection options.

The DSMC2 V-Lock I/O Expander also features a selector switch that enables the BRAIN to automatically boot when power is provided via the DC IN connector on the expander. This feature allows you to use a connected DC input supply to turn the BRAIN on and off when the camera is mounted in remote or difficult to maneuver locations.

 RED MINI-MAG 1.8" 120GB Drive

The RED MINI-MAG is the smallest, fastest, and most powerful media option available. Compared to their predecessor, the REDMAG 1.8”, RED MINI-MAGs have faster read/write speeds to support higher frame rates and resolutions with minimal compression.

RED MINI-MAG data transfer speeds are up to 50% faster on WEAPON, compared to their speeds on EPIC DRAGON. Capable of supporting simultaneous R3D and Apple ProRes recording on DSMC2 camera systems - RED MINI-MAGs offer the ideal media solution - whatever your workflow might be.

Manufactured from robust aluminum, RED MINI-MAGs offer rugged reliability in a compact form factor. Available in multiple capacities, standard grey models provide maximum read/write speeds up to 225 MB/s - while the turbo-charged red models can achieve up to 300 MB/s for even lower REDCODE compression.

RED BRICK Power Package

The RED BRICK Power Package is tailored for DSMC and DSMC2 cameras and includes two (2)REDBRICKs, a RED BRICK CHARGER. This power package delivers all the essential components for powering your camera using long lasting RED BRICK batteries. RED BRICKs are supported by V-Mount battery modules, expanders, and the DSMC Battery Belt Clip.


RED DSMC2 Outrigger Handle

The DSMC2 Outrigger Handle offers a low profile side handle - designed with an ergonomic molded grip and integrated Record Start/Stop button. Mounted to the Top Handle Port on your DSMC2 camera, the DSMC2 OutriggerHandle provides comfort and stability, as well as additional 1/4-20 mounting points for your peripheral camera components. The built-in Record button puts Start/Stop functionality right at your fingertips - so you're always ready to capture the perfect shot.

The DSMC2 Outrigger Handle is ideal for shooters who use one hand on the handle, for grip and record button access, and the other for lens adjustments or support. 

G-Technology ev Series RED MINI-MAG Reader

Simplify your RED workflow with G-Technology's ev|Series Reader RED MINI-MAG Edition. This card reader accepts RED's proprietary MINI-MAG SSDs and can connect them to a computer and offer quick upload via USB 3.0 or be integrated into your existing G-Technology Evolution workflow through the SATA connection.

RED DSMC2 Package Case

The DSMC2 Package Case is highly durable, impact resistant, and water resistant (IP67 rated) - providing advanced protection for your DSMC2 camera package. This portable package case features a robust latching system and reinforced metal padlock holes to lock the case while in transit.

Outfitted with precision-cut foam compartments for your critical DSMC2 components, the DSMC2 Package Case provides protection and organization for your camera DSMC2 BRAIN, DSMC2 RED Touch 4.7" LCD, RED MINI-MAG media, handles, and more. With a retractable 2-stage rolling handle and smooth-glide wheels, as well as a spring-loaded top carrying handle - it also offers protection and convenience whether you are on-set or on-the-go.

Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art Lens

The lens integrates four aspherical elements into its construction as well as five Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements to help minimize various aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range as well as provide greater image sharpness and clarity. A Super Multi-Layer Coating has also been applied to lens elements to reduce surface reflections, lens flare, and ghosting to produce images with higher contrast and color fidelity. The lens barrel design is constructed from a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material that is akin to metal in texture and resistance to temperature and environmental changes while also remaining lightweight and compact. An internal focusing and zooming mechanism also helps to maintain a compact and consistent overall length and non-rotating front ring also better enables the use of circular polarizing filters. For control of focus, a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) is used to ensure fast, precise, and quiet focusing capabilities that are well suited to continuous shooting and movie recording.
