Want a highly portable, foldable drone that shoots professional quality 4K video? You just found it. The DJI Mavic Pro quadcopter will blow you away with features and performance you normally would expect only on bigger, more expensive drones. DJI packs a lot of capability — and convenience — into a mere 1.6 pounds.

When you buy a DJI Mavic foldable drone from DroneNerds.com, you’re getting a truly affordable professional drone. Don’t let Mavic Pro’s fun factor or its diminutive size fool you: The Mavic Pro is no toy … unless, of course, you want it to be. But when you need it to be, it’s a dependable, highly capable flying camera — every time, all the time.

It generates professional-quality 4K video at 30 frames per second and high-clarity 12MP stills. The camera is stabilized by a DJI three-axis gimbal.

Here are just some of the other features packed into the Mavic Pro:

  • 21 to 27 minutes of flight time
  • Long range of 4.3 miles
  • Pocket-sized remote controller that holds your smartphone and communicates anywhere without WiFi
  • Live-streaming video at 720p to 1080p
  • 40 mph top speed
  • Precise positioning with redundant sensors
  • Obstacle avoidance up to 22 mph
  • Control through your remote controller or just your phone
  • Beginner mode to get you started safely

Why Mavic Pro?

Let’s face it: You don’t want just any foldable drone. You want a DJI foldable drone. After all, DJI is the drone industry leader. No folding full-feature drone is more affordable than the DJI Mavic foldable drone.

Compact size. High performance. Reliability. Maneuverability. Speed. Brilliant video and sharp stills. The best gimbals in the business.

And support from the knowledgeable, skilled, DJI-trained technicians of Drone Nerds, the largest DJI dealer in the country.

Mavic Pro’s Easy Setup

Getting your Mavic Pro ready to fly is fast and easy. Unfold the four arms until they click in place. The front arms have landing gear already attached. Start your drone and the propellers will unfold automatically. (You’ll have to snap on the upper propellers before you fly it the first time.) Snap your smartphone onto the handheld remote controller, and power up. After calibrating the compass, which is a cinch, you’re off.

Precise Control, Safe Flight

Attach your smartphone to the pocket-sized remote controller in seconds. Fold-out arms on the remote controller hold it securely. After downloading an app, you can take a quick flight or set up a shoot flying the Mavic Pro using only your phone.

Extra sensors ensure a safe flight.

Dual IMUs and compasses on the Mavic Pro make positioning reliable. Your Mavic has GPS, GLONASS and ultrasonic range finders. Each key sensor on the Mavic Pro is duplicated. That means that if one sensor fails, the backup sensor kicks in. You’ll get where you’re going and back to base as if nothing happened.

Vision Sensors

Four vision sensors help you avoid obstacles as close as 2 feet and as far away as 49 feet. And that 49-foot range can be at speeds up to 22 mph. If you get too close to an object, your Mavic Pro will stop — automatically. It uses its vision sensors to see in three dimensions and protect you from unexpected dangers, even if there’s no ground close for it to sense and even if its GPS signals are blocked by trees. Yes, you’re the pilot. Flight Autonomy is your first officer; it gives you and your drone all the information needed for a successful flight.

Hover precisely and land almost exactly where you took off with Flight Autonomy. Precision Landing can even tell if the landing site is uneven.

TapFly points your drone in the right direction, Terrain Follow safely maintains position off the ground. Following a subject on a road or trail with changing terrain is a snap with Terrain Follow. And safe Return to Home avoids obstacles on the way back to base, switching on automatically if your battery runs low..

See what your camera sees, almost instantaneously, from as far away as 4.3 miles. DJI Go tells you everything you need to know onscreen — where you are, your altitude, your battery reserve, what’s in front of you.

Live-Stream Video

You need to see what you’re shooting and exactly where you’re going. The Mavic Pro streams a hi-def view using OcuSync. It streams in 1080p when your drone is nearby, and 720p when it’s farther away — up to 4.3 miles.

All the while, your Mavic is recording in stunning 4K. Want to be even more immersed in the flying experience? Redux Air has available FPV Goggles that will truly make you believe you’re flying. Control the drone and camera with taps on the side of the goggles, or control the drone with head movements alone. You can even share the experience by putting the goggles on a friend while you fly your Mavic by the remote controller.

You can also use OcuSync to download video and stills while recording additional images. And don’t worry about interference. OcuSync chooses the best frequency available and uses it.

Shake-Free 4K Video, Quality Camera

Aerial video is best in 4K, with more than four times the pixels of 1080p. The Mavic Pro captures 4K video at up to 30fps, stabilized by a 3-axis gimbal.

Mavic has ActiveTrack, which locks onto your subject — or onto you, if you want.

Don’t worry about having no dedicated photographer to help you. Just communicate with your Mavic Pro. It  does what you tell it to through your remote controller. Remember, with streaming video, you’ll see what your camera does. Choose the mode that’s best for your shoot:

Trace — Your Mavic will follow your subject, either in front or behind. Give it the command, and it will even circle your subject. Video recording a wedding? Trace Pro lets you focus on the bride and groom and fly backward — perfectly level — while it records them leaving the church. No more bending low to get the shot, no more walking backward.

Profile — Hiking a trail, canoeing or exploring a fascinating site? Profile is perfect. It will lock on and follow you, too, flying beside you and capturing all the action. Watching your dog pick up a scent and follow it? The Mavic will tag along, right beside him.

Spotlight — This mode isn’t quite magic, but the results are pure fantasy. Lock on your subject and get adventurous. Fly up, down, all around as you look for the most beguiling angles. Your subject, no matter how high or wide you fly, will stay in the frame.

Tripod — Slow down. Not the frame rate, but how fast your drone is moving. Tripod mode orders your Mavic Pro flying camera to make very measured moves — slow and steady — so you can capture every nuance of your scene.

For 12MP stills, adjust the shutter speed between 8 seconds for a time exposure and action-stopping 1/8000 second. Shoot in 3/5/7 fps bursts.

Selfie, anyone? Your Mavic Pro is even smart enough to read your hand gestures. Form your hands into the frame command and your Mavic Pro will take an aerial selfie.

Mavic Pro records on a video card; a 16MB card is included, and it’s easy to buy more storage capacity. Shoot automatically, or be the photographer you know you can be by manually controlling aperture, shutter speed, ISO and file format. Mavic opens the door to creativity — and flies right through.

Fly Longer on Intelligent Flight Batteries

As we said, Mavic Pro is fun, but it’s no toy. Mavic Pro can fly in real-world conditions for about 21 minutes — not the mere 10 or 15 typical of small drones. It’s powered by a quick-charge 3S Intelligent Flight Battery. It really is smart, keeping itself from overcharging and from sustaining damage during storage, even if fully charged.

It will communicate just how much power is left. Extra batteries and a multi-battery charger are available from Drone Nerds so you can stay in the air far longer than you’re on the ground.

Video Editing, Sharing, Live Streaming

We know you want to share your video ASAP. Edit it first and fast, using the DJI Go Editor to edit in your smartphone. If you don’t want to wait, stream live to Facebook or YouTube.

Get your video out there on Twitter, Instagram or SkyPixel, the DJI community for sharing aerial imagery. For stills with a real professional look, shoot in Adobe DNG RAW, which will let you edit for more detail and effects. You’ll get the most out of every pixel.
